This project reconstructs the relationship between Solid and Void—fundamental concepts in architectural Form—upon a warped plane of spacetime. This black object is the result of a spacetime Implosion, an unreal condensation of gravity.

The pinnacle of this project lies in the moment a pen physically pierces through this contradictory mass.

A single line—the pen—pierces through the center of this powerful gravitational field (the paperweight) that asserts itself as a Void. This is the most violent and direct act proving that the object masquerading as a Void is, in fact, a dense Solid. The pen becomes the sole entity to breach the light-swallowing 'Event Horizon' and embed itself within the Singularity.

The paperweight distorts the surface of the paper (possibility) with its weight, while the pen piercing its center stands ready to record new possibilities upon this warped spacetime. Through their mutual existence, they complete the architectural acts of 'pressing (distortion)' and 'writing (recording)'.
